Rampur. The court has also issued non-bailable warrant against film actress and former MP Jayaprada in another case of election code of conduct violation. These warrants have been issued in the case registered in Kemari police station, whereas non-bailable warrants are already running in the case registered in Swar police station.
The cases registered against Jaya Prada are related to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Then she contested the elections on BJP ticket. She had lost this election. An FIR was lodged against him in Kemri police station by Village Development Officer Kuldeep Bhatnagar for violating the election code of conduct. In this, the former MP is accused of making objectionable remarks in a public meeting organized in Pipliya Mishra village. The police had filed a charge sheet against him, the hearing of which is going on in the MP-MLA Special Court (Magistrate Trial).
Jayaprada is not coming to court since last several dates
Jayaprada has not been coming to the court for the last several dates. There was a hearing on Tuesday also. His advocate Sandeep Saxena presented an application for exemption from appearance in the court citing illness. The prosecution objected to this. The court has written to the Superintendent of Police, issuing a non-bailable warrant against Jayaprada. Orders have been given to present him in the court. The court will now hear this case on December 11. Earlier, non-bailable warrants had been issued thrice in the case registered in Jayaprada’s Swar police station.
