Omar Ansari, younger son of mafia Mukhtar Ansari, lodged in Banda jail, surrendered in the MP-MLA court of Mau district on Wednesday. Umar Ansari was absconding for 19 months in three cases including hate speech. This afternoon Omar Ansari surrendered in the court of Judge Shweta Chaudhary of MP-MLA Court of Mau district. Meanwhile, Umar Ansari’s lawyers are currently waiting for bail inside the court. However, no decision has been taken yet on bail.
The first case against Umar Ansari was registered in South Tola police station for taking a procession with heavy vehicles. In this, Mukhtar Ansari’s elder son Omar Ansari was also made an accused. Another case was registered against Umar Ansari in the city police station. This case was of head speech. In this, half a dozen people including Umar Ansari, Abbas Ansari were made accused.
Court had issued non-bailable warrant
In the city police station itself, a case was registered against half a dozen people including Abbas Ansari, Umar Ansari for taking out a victory procession for violation of the code of conduct. In these three cases, the MP-MLA Court of Mau had issued three non-bailable warrants against Umar Ansari. When he did not appear, the court issued a notice of attachment.
Anticipatory bail was granted from the Supreme Court
Last month, on October 11, Omar Ansari got a big relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court had granted anticipatory bail to Omar Ansari in the case of alleged misuse of government property. Supreme Court Justice M.M. The division bench of Sundaresh and Prashant Kumar Mishra had given relief to Umar Ansari saying that he is cooperating in the proceedings initiated by the UP Police in this case.
However, earlier Allahabad High Court had refused to grant bail to Omar Ansari. After not getting bail from Allahabad High Court, Omar Ansari had challenged it in the Supreme Court.

Actually, this case of alleged misuse of government property is from the year 2020. Lucknow Revenue Officer Surjan Lal had lodged an FIR in Hazratganj police station. In this FIR, Surjan Lal had said that Mukhtar Ansari’s younger son Omar Ansari had wrongly got the government property in his name. Not only this, Surjan Lal had also accused Umar Ansari of hatching a criminal conspiracy.
