Varanasi. Opposition to the construction of boundary wall in IIT has intensified. BHU students took out a protest march on Saturday. Boycotted classes. Classes could not be held in many faculties including the Faculty of Law, Sanskrit Vidya, Religious Science, Social Sciences, Arts, Commerce and Agriculture Institute.
Hundreds of students raised slogans in protest. Said that the university administration should give immediate clarification otherwise the movement will turn violent. Will not allow BHU to be disintegrated at any cost, will not allow a wall to be built.
While taking out the march, the students were carrying the photo of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. Students marched to the Dean’s office. Said that division of BHU in the name of safety of IIT and medical students will not be tolerated.
Students demand for better security arrangements
Students said building the wall is against the values of Mahamana. Instead, the security system should be improved. So that there is no fear among the girl students, student leader Mrityunjay Tiwari Azad said that the intention of the university administration is not in the interest of BHU. The mentality of the administration is fragmentation oriented. The respected family will oppose this.
Kaushal Kishore Mishra, former head of the Faculty of Social Sciences, also supported the students. Abhishek, Patanjali, Shyamal Nandu Ashirwad, Darshit Durgesh and Kshitij etc. were present on this occasion.
