Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken strict action in the case of murder of six people over a dispute over eight bigha land in Fatehpur village of Deoria. On Thursday, on his instructions, 15 revenue and police personnel including Rudrapur Tehsil SDM Yogesh Kumar Gaur and Area Officer District Jeet were suspended due to non-resolution of complaints in this nine-year-old dispute.
These include two tehsildars, one revenue inspector, two accountants, one inspector, two sub-inspectors, one chief constable and four constables. Investigation has revealed that the concerned officers were grossly negligent in redressal of complaints being lodged continuously on IGRS (Integrated Grievance Redressal System). Reviewing the incident, Yogi said that no matter who the culprit is, he will not be spared. Strict action will be taken against each one.
Negligence in redressal of public grievances will not be tolerated. After the murder of Premchand Yadav, a former District Panchayat member from SP, in Fatehpur village of Deoria on October 2, his family members and supporters took revenge by killing Satya Prakash Dubey of the village and his Five members of the family were beaten and shot dead. In this case, a case has been registered against 27 named and 50 unknown persons and the police has sent 20 people to jail.
Investigation revealed that Satya Prakash Dubey had made several complaints against Premchand for illegal occupation of government lands on the IGRS portal, but the local police and administration officials ignored it. The murder accused had also encroached upon the barn, fallow or village society land. Taking this incident seriously, the Chief Minister had directed to take action against the negligent officials.
In this sequence, apart from the SDM and CO of Rudrapur tehsil, a total of 15 employees were suspended on Thursday and departmental action has been initiated against them. These include former Inspector-in-charge Rudrapur Sunil Kumar (Sub-Inspector) and three constables who were found guilty of negligence in disposal of IGRS, while instructions have been given to initiate departmental proceedings against the then Area Officer Rudrapur Dinesh Kumar Singh Yadav.
Additional chargesheet will also be issued to Tehsildar Abhay Raj who was suspended earlier. The Chief Minister also directed departmental action against former SDM Ram Vilas, Om Prakash, Dhruv Shukla and Sanjeev Kumar Upadhyay, besides retired Tehsildar Vanshraj Ram and Revenue Inspector Ramanand Pal.
In connection with the land dispute, one of the parties, Late Satya Prakash Dubey, had made several complaints in IGRS regarding illegal occupation of village society land, which were sent online to the Police Department and Revenue Department. Investigation revealed that the complaints made from time to time were not taken seriously by the concerned officials of both the departments.
