Ayodhya. During the joint operation of STF and Ayodhya Police in the case of attack on a woman constable in Saryu Express, criminal Anees was killed in an encounter. Two others were also injured in the encounter. There is also information that SO Purakalandar Ratan Sharma and two constables were injured. According to the information received so far, an encounter took place on Chhatirwa Para Kail road of Purakalandar police station. STF chief Amitabh Yash will reveal the entire matter today in a press conference in Lucknow in this regard.

On August 30, under suspicious circumstances, a blood-soaked female constable was found in the general bogie of Saryu Express. After the train reached Ayodhya Junction, on the information of the passengers, the Railway Police took the constable under its protection and first took him to Shri Ram Hospital. Where the constable was sent to Darshan Nagar Medical College when his condition became serious. When the situation did not improve there too, the woman constable was referred to Lucknow Trauma Centre.
The constable was identified as 45-year-old Sumitra Patel. She is posted in Sultanpur district and was coming to Ayodhya for Sawan Mela duty. During investigation of CCTV cameras installed at Ayodhya Junction, no movement of constable was found at the station. The injured constable is still undergoing treatment. Saryu Express goes from Prayagraj to Mankapur via Sultanpur, Ayodhya. The constable’s clothes were in disarray. There were marks of attack on the head with a big sharp weapon. Cheeks and eyes were also attacked with a sharp weapon.
She had boarded the Saryu Express from Sultanpur on Tuesday night to come to Ayodhya, but due to sleeping in the train, she reached Mankapur. When Saryu Express reached Ayodhya at around 4:30 in the morning, she was lying seriously injured inside the train. In the initial medical examination, injury marks were found on his head and face.
