Someone recorded the video of this helpless mother and made it viral on social media. Later it came to know that the elderly woman along with her younger son was wandering from here to there helplessly carrying the dead body of her elder son. He didn’t even have money for his funeral.
According to the information received from the police, this whole matter is related to the Garhi intersection in the medical station area of Delhi. Here the dead body of a person was lying near a liquor shop. When the son did not come home for a long time, the mother and the younger brother went out in search of their elder brother. He looked at many places. Later, when they found the dead body of the young man, a pall of gloom descended upon them. She lifted her son’s dead body on a handcart and reached the Garhi intersection.
The woman kept pleading with every passer-by that she had to perform the last rites of her son, but no one listened to her. She kept asking people to help her so that she could perform the last rites of her son under any circumstances. Later, the woman reached the outpost of the medical station area. Here the outpost in-charge donated and collected the money himself and gave it to him and got his son’s last rites done. According to the information, this family is originally from Etawah and has been working here for a long time.
At the same time, the video of this woman is being shared fiercely on social media and people are commenting in various ways. On this whole matter, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Akhilesh Mohan has said that he has set up an inquiry after the matter came to the fore. Action will be taken after the investigation report comes. He also said that no government hospital was informed about the deceased youth.
