In a locality of Ghaziabad, after a mutual dispute between neighbors, boys of other religions cut the braid of a person. The victim youth has also accused the other party of assault. The victim told that she had kept the braid to follow her religion. Accused Babu Khan, brother Chhota Babu and another accomplice have cut off his braid after fighting together. This case of assault started with a minor dispute, after which the braid of the young man has also been cut.
Ghaziabad’s Crossing Republic police station received a complaint, in which the victim Rajkumar told the police that on August 31, he had a dispute with some people of the area. After the dispute, an agreement was also reached between them.
The victim alleges that on 31 August there was a fight again. The victim Rajkumar was walking outside his house when Babu, Chhota Babu and Amar together beat him fiercely and cut the braid from his head. It has been told in the complaint to the police that Rajkumar had worn the braid according to his religion. Their religious sentiments have been hurt by this.
On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case and it is being said that further legal action will be taken. ACP Sunil Kumar Singh says that Rajkumar alias Raju, a resident of Thana Crossing Republic area, has accused his neighbor Babu and some others of assaulting and braiding.
The case has been registered on the complaint of the plaintiff and while taking action on the complaint of the victim, the police have started interrogating the two accused by taking them into custody. A CCTV footage and an audio clip related to the incident cast doubt on the matter of braid chopping. Considering the seriousness of the matter, legal action is being taken.
