Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said a museum was built in Agra in memory of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb when the Samajwadi Party was in power, while his government is building a museum for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Agra itself.
CM Yogi claimed that no Indian can be related to the Mughal invaders, he said that this is the reason why the Narendra Modi government has adopted Shivaji Maharaj’s emblem for the Indian Navy. CM Yogi made this comment in a program on the occasion of 350th anniversary of the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
SP had built the Mughal Museum: Yogi
CM Adityanath said, “During the tenure of the previous Samajwadi Party government, a Mughal museum was constructed in Agra in memory of Aurangzeb. Our government is preserving the memory of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by building a grand museum named after him in the same district.”
The priest who performed the coronation of Shivaji was from UP
He said, “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has significant relevance for Uttar Pradesh. The priest who performed his coronation was Ganga Bhatt of Kashi. Besides this Kanpur-born poet Bhushan composed poems praising the valor of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.”
