The incident took place between Sahajipur and Khaupur villages on Ammarpur road under Sangrampur police station area. On Tuesday evening, BJP booth president Dinesh Singh, a resident of Dhaurahra, was attacked by half a dozen miscreants riding on three bikes. First the miscreants attacked with sharp weapons, later thrashed the injured to death. The attackers fled after the incident. People nearby informed the police and took the injured to Sangrampur CHC, where the doctors after first aid, seeing the condition serious, referred him to the district hospital.

Dinesh died on the way while being taken to the district hospital. On the information of the incident, station in-charge Nirmal Singh reached the hospital and the village along with Dalbal. There was chaos in the village as soon as the information was received. The deceased was also the booth president of booth number 206 of the village. The relatives are in bad condition by crying.
