Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has arrested 2 people who cheated from Bijnor police station area of Lucknow. One of these accused Pawan Raj is an ex-serviceman and the other accused Satish Yadav runs the Mission Defense Academy. UP STF has recovered fake documents including 9 fake joining letters, stamps from the accused.
According to the information, Pawan Raj was appointed in Lucknow Army Medical Corps in 2017. During this, he came in contact with the gang who took money to pass the medical test. UP STF had already arrested two of his associates. After this the Court of Inquiry sat on Pawan Raj and since then he was absconding.
Used to give fake joining letter by taking 4 to 5 lakh rupees
The second accused Satish Yadav runs the Mission Defense Academy. He used to give assurance of getting jobs to the youth who came to join the army. For this, a demand of Rs 4 to 5 lakh was made. When the youths who came for recruitment used to pay the money as promised, they used to hand over fake joining letters to them. When he used to go to join the job, he came to know about the fraud.
Fraud in the name of getting lucky draw, free holiday vouchers, movie tickets
It is noteworthy that even before this UP STF had arrested 6 people of the gang who cheated in the name of getting lucky draw, free holiday vouchers, movie tickets. The arrested gang members were making people victims of forgery in UP as well as in Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and MP for the last one year. These people used to cheat people in the name of getting lucky draw, free holiday vouchers, movie tickets. The UP STF had arrested all of them from a hotel in Bareilly’s Baradari police station area.
