In Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur Dehat, a bride returned the marriage procession because the groom had come to marry with less jewelery as an offering. The conversation between the family members of the bride and the groom continued throughout the night but no way out.
After this, an agreement was reached between both the parties in the police station. Then the groom returned to his house empty handed without taking the bride. The case pertains to Manpur village of Sikandra police station area. Lalaram, who lives here, had fixed the marriage of his son Krishna Murari with the daughter of Shyam Narayan, a resident of Banwaripur village.
After this, on Sunday 30 April, Lalaram reached Banwaripur village with the procession of his son Krishna Murari. But, on Monday morning, the groom returned with a procession without the bride.

Groom Krishna Murari says that he was marrying the girl without any transaction. When he reached with the procession, the procession was welcomed. The food was fed. While taking the wedding rituals forward, there was celebration on the stage. After this reached the mandap and the jewelery was offered, the girl and her family refused to marry.
Both sides reached the police station for settlement
After this the matter reached the police station but despite a lot of persuasion, things did not work out. According to the information, both the parties were called again in the police station for settlement.
The bridegroom and groom’s father reached the police station with their oblations, after which the people from the girl’s side also reached the police station. The boy’s father Lalaram told that he had gone to see the girl for the son’s marriage. After this, the ceremony of baby shower took place.
The people of the girl’s side gave false tahrir for demanding dowry.
The boy’s father said that we had talked about getting married without dowry. The girls welcomed the procession well. But when the jewelery was given, they were refused to marry, saying that they would bring less jewellery.
After this, these people have given a false complaint in the police station that they are demanding dowry. Return my jewelry girl, we will return her ring and Rs 5,100. At the same time, the people of the girl’s side have refused to say anything about it. After hours of talks in the police station, both the parties came to an agreement and both went to their respective homes after making a mutual agreement.
