Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) may not have won the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) title yet, but its star batsman Virat Kohli believes that the team has always maintained consistency in its performance and won the trophy this time. He needs to execute this to win.
Kohli, who scored an unbeaten 82 in RCB’s eight-wicket win against Mumbai Indians, said, “This is an unprecedented victory.” We played at our home ground after many years. I am very happy with the way we performed today.
He said, “Mumbai has won the title five times and Chennai Super Kings four times. Apart from these two, we have made it to the playoffs the most number of times which shows that there is consistency in our performance.
Kohli said, “We have to maintain our focus and enter the field with a balanced team. We have to keep this rhythm going forward. We have to execute our strategy better.
Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma praised Tilak Verma, who scored an unbeaten 84 for the team, but admitted that his bowlers did not perform well.
Rohit said, “We did not start well but in the end Tilak played a great innings. However, our bowlers did not perform well. Our batting was also not good while this pitch was good.
