Girls are not safe at any time be it dark of night or light of day. A recent example of this has been seen in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. A case of molestation of a girl in broad daylight has come to light at a petrol pump in Banda’s Naraini police station area. Here a young woman had come to fill petrol sitting on a bike with her father. At the time when petrol was being put in the bike. At the same time a miscreant came near the bike while roaming around and molested the girl sitting behind on the motorcycle.
This entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed at the petrol pump. After which the teenager opposed this act of the accused. After which, angry with the molestation, the father made noise and called other people and caught hold of the young man and thrashed him fiercely. After which the accused fled from there. It is being told that this incident has been completed for 4 days, but after the video of this incident went viral, there was a stir in the police department.
Police filed a case
Taking immediate cognizance of the video, Naraini police station had registered a case on January 27. Later, after increasing protests from the villagers, the police arrested the accused on Saturday and sent him to jail. After which, while teaching a lesson to the people of this kind of mentality, the police took such action against the accused, which no one had even thought of.
On Sunday, the police force of Naraini and Kalinjar police stations reached the house of the accused with bulldozers. This created an atmosphere of panic in the surrounding areas as well. The police demolished the platform and thatch outside the house of the accused with a bulldozer. This action went on for about an hour.
The accused was shifted to district Badar
Superintendent of Police Abhinandan told that the accused Sandeep Dixit has been shifted to Badar district. Along with this, action is also being taken against him under the Goonda Act. He said that it is our endeavor to take such action so that the fear of law remains in Sohdo and Manchal.
