In Banda, Uttar Pradesh, a pregnant woman has accused her in-laws of harassing her. The victim says that she was also given abortion medicine. After which his condition deteriorated so much that he had to be admitted to the hospital. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case under serious sections against 6 people including her husband and mother-in-law, father-in-law.
The victim told that on November 24, 2022, she was married to Shakeel, a resident of Bachoda of Bisanda police station area, according to Muslim customs. At the time of farewell, the in-laws demanded a bullet and two lakh rupees. The father somehow gave 50 thousand rupees and promised to give the rest later.
After farewell, she reached her in-laws house and after a few days she became pregnant. After this, the in-laws started torturing her and told her to give the remaining money and a motorcycle, only then would you give birth to a child. Made pressure to abort the child and also threatened to give divorce and make her sit at home.
When the woman did not listen to her in-laws, she stopped giving her food. On December 10, the husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law together forcibly fed her the medicine for abortion. Due to which his condition worsened. When the woman informed her parents, she admitted her to the medical college. Distressed by the in-laws, the woman reached the ASP and narrated her ordeal. A case under serious sections was registered against 6 people, including her husband, at the women’s police station under the orders of the ASP. Police is investigating the matter seriously.
In this case, after the order of ASP, the woman police station in-charge has started investigation after registering the FIR. SP Abhinandan says that whatever evidence will come during the investigation, legal action will be taken accordingly. The victim’s family has demanded strict action against the accused.
