A local court in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district has ordered an Amin survey of the Idgah on the claim of the Hindu army, similar to the Gyanvapi case in Varanasi regarding the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah dispute. The court has fixed January 20 as the next date for hearing in this matter. Amin has been instructed to file the related report in the court before that.
Plaintiff’s advocate Shailesh Dubey said that on December 8, Vishnu Gupta, national president of Hindu Sena and vice-president Surjit Singh Yadav, residents of Delhi, had made this claim in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division (III) judge Sonika Verma. It has been said in this that on the 13.37 acres of land of Shri Krishna’s birthplace, Aurangzeb had demolished the temple and prepared Idgah. He presented before the court the entire history from the birth of Lord Krishna till the construction of the temple. He has also demanded the cancellation of the agreement between Sri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sangh vs Shahi Idgah in the year 1968, calling it illegal.
Report will have to be presented by January 20
Shailesh Dubey said that while accepting the petition of the plaintiff for hearing, the court has ordered Amin to conduct a survey and report. In this regard, a hearing was to be held in the court on December 22, but it could not happen due to unavoidable reasons. However, now Amin will have to present the Idgah report in the court by January 20.
It is noteworthy that earlier also more than half a dozen litigants have placed the same demand in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division (First) Jyoti Singh, but till now no decision has been taken on those petitions.
Gyanvapi’s survey was done
It is noteworthy that in the Shringar Gauri-Gyanvapi case of Varanasi, on August 17, 2021, five women had filed a petition regarding worship and protection of idols in Shringar Gauri. On this, Civil Judge Senior Division Ravi Kumar Diwakar, posted there at that time, appointed the Court Commissioner and ordered a survey of Gyanvapi. Later the matter reached the apex court.
