In Banda’s Luktara, a young farmer committed suicide under the pressure of debt. But instead of giving a report in the matter, the administration has termed it as a case of illegal relationship. Due to this, there is a lot of anger among the people of the area. It is being told that the farmer had taken a loan of about three lakh rupees from moneylenders and banks, this time his crop was good. It was expected that the loan would also be repaid and there would be some savings, but the entire crop was eaten by stray animals. On the other hand, the borrowers had started pressing for the return of the amount. In such a situation, the farmer has given his life by hanging himself in his house.
According to the information, the father of young farmer Pushpendra Yadav (22), a resident of Luk Tara village in Dehat Kotwali area, had died three years ago. Since they do not have any employment, and also do not have any accumulated capital. In such a situation, he was taking care of himself and his family only by doing farming. Relatives told that this year he did farming by taking a loan of about three lakh rupees. A lot of money was from the bank in this. This loan had to be returned by selling the crop. This crop was also good, everyone was feeling that some money would be saved even after paying off the entire loan with a big charge. But the stray cattle destroyed the entire crop in a single day. In such a situation, Pushpendra could not tolerate it and he hanged himself.
The usurers had threatened to send them to jail
The family members said that after the failure of the crop, the usurers had increased the pressure to return their money. They even started threatening to send him to jail. Here the bank also sent a notice. Since there was no way to repay such a huge loan in future. In such a situation, suicide was the only option in front of Pushpendra. He has given his life by hanging himself.
Administration told illegal relationship
When the matter caught fire, the media talked to the administration regarding this incident. The family members of the farmer were asked about financial assistance. But the administration has postponed this incident by calling it a case of illegal relationship. On the other hand, Pradhan and former block chief Addu Yadav told that there was financial crisis. Similarly, State President of Bundelkhand Kisan Union Vimal Sharma also said that the farmer committed suicide due to financial constraints. Despite this, the administration is making fun of the death of the farmer.
