New Delhi: Katrina Kaif’s film ‘Phone Bhoot’ was released in theaters this Friday. The film received good reviews from social media and critics, despite its ‘Phone Bhoot’ performing very poorly on the first day. Along with Katrina, Ishaan Khattar and Siddhant Chaturvedi also appeared in lead roles in this film. However, the audience who came out after watching the film on the first day had told it to be full money.
Faded ‘phone ghost’
‘Phone Bhoot’ was released on 1400 screens, which can also be called a conservative release. But even after getting so many screens, the occupancy of the film is only around 10-12 percent on the first day. According to Pinkvilla’s report, ‘Phone Bhoot’ has earned between 1.75 – 2.25 crores in theaters on the first day (the figures are preliminary, it is possible to change).
Collision with ‘Milli-Double Axle’
Along with Phone Bhoot, two more films were released in the cinema on November 4. Jhanvi Kapoor’s ‘Mili’ and Sonakshi Sinha-Huma Qureshi’s ‘Double Excel’. The performance of both these films has been worse than Katrina’s film. Both Millie and Double Excel together have earned close to 1 crore.
Tried first hand in horror comedy
Through Phone Bhoot, Katrina Kaif has appeared in a horror comedy genre for the first time. Talking about the content, this film can do well but the biggest drawback seen with it is the face value. The business of the film may go up on Saturday and Sunday and it will perform well on weekends but its first day collection looks quite disappointing.
‘Kantara’ remains on top
This week, Kannada film ‘Kantara’, dubbed in Hindi, was seen doing better business than both the earlier Bollywood releases, ‘Ram Setu’ and ‘Thank God’. With this, let us tell you that the next week is going to be even more difficult for Bollywood as Hollywood’s ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is releasing. Maybe ‘Black Panther 2’ will also affect the collections of upcoming Bollywood movies ‘Drishyam 2’ and ‘Bhediya’.
