Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday transferred six IAS officers. New District Magistrates have been posted in five districts. Kushinagar District Magistrate S. Rajalingam has been made the DM of Varanasi. Till now, the additional charge of DM of Varanasi was with Divisional Commissioner Varanasi Kaushal Raj Sharma. Hathras DM Ramesh Ranjan has been posted as DM Kushinagar. Archana Verma, vice-chairman of Hapur Pilkhua Development Authority, has been sent to the post of DM Hathras. Deepa Ranjan, who was the DM of Badaun, will now be the DM Banda. Special Secretary Higher Education Manoj Kumar has been made the DM of Badaun. DM Banda Anurag Patel has been made waiting.
Belonging to a normal family, S. Rajalingam is a 2009 batch IAS officer. He is counted among the sharpest officers. After the Ubbha incident, Rajalingam was made the DM of Sonbhadra.
