Gorakhpur. The engine of an empty goods train going from Gorakhpur to Gonda derailed at Domingarh railway station yard on Wednesday afternoon. Due to this, the operation of trains on the Domingarh-Gorakhpur section was disrupted for about an hour. The trains stopped where they were. The operation of some goods trains including clone number 02569 and 15273 remained affected. Trains started operating after the main road was opened around 3.50 pm. There was no loss of life or property in the incident so far.

The empty goods train of BCN number was going to Gonda via line number four of the station yard. Suddenly two wheels of the engine axle derailed. On the information of the control room, the concerned officers, engineers and employees reached the spot. The Gorakhpur-Gonda line was evacuated with the help of accident relief train. The engine came back on track around 6.30 pm. After this, the operation of trains became normal. According to Chief Public Relations Officer Pankaj Kumar Singh, the movement of trains is going on at an uninterrupted speed. An inquiry will be conducted into the reasons for the derailment of the engine of the goods train.
Gorakhpur-Yesvantpur will stop in Basti, Lucknow-Barauni will stop in Munderwa
Gorakhpur-Yesvantpur-Gorakhpur Express numbered 22533/22534 will halt at Basti and Barauni-Lucknow Junction- Barauni Express numbered 15203/15204 will also halt at Munderwa. According to Chief Public Relations Officer Pankaj Kumar Singh, stoppages of these trains have been provided for six months on an experimental basis. Gorakhpur-Yesvantpur will stop for three minutes in Basti and two minutes at Lucknow-Barauni Munderwa.
22533 Gorakhpur – Yesvantpur Express will reach Basti at 07.41 hrs and leave at 07.44 hrs from November 7. 22534 Yesvantpur – Gorakhpur Express will arrive at 05.15 hrs and depart at 05.18 hrs from November 4.
15203 Barauni – Lucknow Junction Express at Munderwa will arrive at 06.33 hrs and depart at 06.35 hrs from November 5. 15204 Lucknow Jn – Barauni Express will arrive at 08.32 hrs and depart at 08.34 hrs from November 5.
Kushinagar Express will stop at Nepanagar till December 31
There is relief news for railway passengers. Railway administration has extended the stoppage period of Gorakhpur-Lokmanya Tilak Terminal-Gorakhpur Kushinagar Express number 22538/22537 at Nepanagar. According to Chief Public Relations Officer Pankaj Kumar Singh, this train will now stop at Nepanagar in Madhya Pradesh till December 31.
