the court ruled
When the hearing of this matter started in the court at 2.30 pm, people from both the sides were present in the court. At the same time in the afternoon, the court rejected the demand for carbon dating, saying in its decision that it could damage the Shivling. In such a situation, while reiterating the earlier decision, the court has asked to maintain the status quo of Shivling keeping in mind the public sentiments. At the same time, in view of the possibility of a decision in a big case from the court, the presence of police force remained in the court since morning.

The decision came on Friday afternoon on behalf of Rakhi Singh of Delhi and four women of Varanasi in the court of District Judge Dr. Ajay Krishna Vishwesh regarding the demands of regular darshan and worship of mother Shringar Gauri. In this, there was a demand for carbon dating for the age determination of Shivling found in the Gyanvapi complex or investigation of its and the surrounding place by the team of archaeologists. While the Hindu side had demanded carbon dating of Shivling, the Muslim side was opposing the carbon dating.
The court had sought objection

Earlier, during the hearing in this case, the Muslim side had presented its side in the court. In such a situation, after the completion of hearing and debate in the court, the decision was being expected, accordingly the court ruled and rejected the demand for carbon dating.
