Lucknow. The process of employing the dependents of deceased government employees in other departments has started. In the meeting of the High Powered Committee constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, it has been agreed to give jobs to 37 deceased dependents in other departments. These deceased dependents will be given jobs in industrial development, agriculture, revenue, homeopathy and forest and environment departments.
There is a provision to provide Group D jobs in the same department or Group C jobs on the basis of educational qualification to their dependents on compassionate basis on the death of state employees during service. Sometimes the lack of posts becomes a hindrance in giving jobs to the deceased dependents. Despite the lack of utility, many times more posts have to be created in the department to give jobs to the deceased dependents. Departments procrastinate on this.
A large number of state employees have died due to Kovid infection during the Corona period. A large number of deceased dependents are waiting to get jobs even after the dependents of such deceased workers have been employed on compassionate grounds by the government. There are no vacancies in many departments. There are many other departments in which a large number of posts are vacant.
Therefore, the government had decided last year that if the post in the parent department of the deceased state employee is not vacant, then his dependent should be given a job in any other department. For this a high powered committee was constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary. According to this decision of the state government, the industrial development, revenue, forest and environment, agriculture, medical and health departments had agreed to employ the deceased dependents of other departments here.
At the same time, three departments – Civil Aviation, State Property and AYUSH – had told that they do not have vacant posts. In the meeting of the High Powered Committee, it was agreed to employ 37 deceased dependents in five departments. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that in order to give compassionate appointment to the deceased dependents, the departments which have not informed about the vacant posts, they should make available this information to the Personnel Department as soon as possible so that the application of dependents for the job is needed. on the basis of which can be sent to the concerned departments. He said that special care should be taken that the family of the deceased dependent should not face unnecessary trouble for appointment.
