Gorakhpur. The Gulriha police station seized the Fortuner vehicle of Rakesh Yadav, accused of gangster act. Two days ago, on the orders of the District Magistrate, five vehicles of Mafia’s cousin Ashok were confiscated by the Tehsildar. On 21 June 2021, the then District Magistrate K. Vijayendra Pandian had ordered to confiscate the property of Mafia Rakesh Yadav, a resident of Jhungia Bazar, Ashok, a resident of Pipraich’s Jungle Chhatradhari Tola Shahganj, under the Gangster Act. In compliance with the order, the team of Tehsil Sadar and Gulriha police station had seized the house of Raike Yadav. On questioning by the officials, five vehicles, including a Fortuner, worth Rs 65 lakh were seized from the residence of Ashok Yadav. Inspector-in-charge Gulriha Manoj Pandey said that Rakesh Yadav’s Fortuner car was seized. The car, worth Rs 30 lakh, was in the possession of Anita Devi, wife of Ashok Yadav.
Rakesh is the top 10 crook of the district
There are 52 cases registered against Rakesh Yadav, who is included in the list of top 10 miscreants of the district. Rakesh surrendered in the court after the case was registered on charges of conspiracy to murder and extortion. The Gulriha police station had taken action against the mafia Rakesh and his associates under the Gangster Act. On the report of the investigator, the then District Magistrate earned the mafia from the crime. was ordered to confiscate the property. In order to comply with which the police took action.
120 cases disposed of in resolution day
Out of 120 cases that came to Sadar Tehsil on the occasion of Samadhan Diwas, only six could be resolved on the spot. The remaining cases have been directed to be disposed of at the earliest. Most of the cases that came in the resolution day were related to land disputes. In many cases the police team was needed, in which the concerned SHO was instructed to cooperate and it was said that the joint team of revenue and police would go and get the matter resolved.
