Lucknow. Yogi Adityanath government has given big relief to lakhs of people living in NCR. Now these people will not have to pay road tax. On Tuesday, the Yogi cabinet meeting approved this proposal. Let us inform that the Transport Department of the state had signed an agreement between four states Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and UP regarding road tax. The proposal to build a new jail in Lalitpur has also been approved in the meeting.
There will be no tax on vehicles going from Uttar Pradesh to NCR. These will include vehicles like vans, cabs, ambulances etc. Four states have entered into an agreement to waive tax among themselves. This will give relief to the public. But, this will increase the expenditure on the state government by Rs 12 crore. Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, who came out of the cabinet meeting, gave this information.
Under another decision, the cabinet has decided to transfer Rs 1200 to their accounts through DBT instead of Rs 1100 from this session to the children studying in the schools run by the Basic Education Council. Till now, children were given an amount of Rs 1100 for 2 pairs of uniforms, a sweater, a school bag, 1 pair of shoes, 2 pairs of socks. Now Rs 1200 will be given in which apart from these items, money will also be given for stationery which will include 4 copies, two pencils, 2 erasers and two cutters.
Apart from this, a proposal was passed regarding the appointment of Hi-Tech and Gram Panchayat Assistant for the strengthening of village secretariat established in rural areas. The proposal was also approved for the creation of the post of Additional Panchayati Raj Officer. At the same time, a proposal for purchase of 2 crore flags by MSMEs was approved for hoisting 4.5 crore tricolor in connection with the Amrit Festival of Independence.
