Ayodhya: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the municipal corporation to stop levying tax on monasteries, temples and religious places. Now monasteries, temples and religious places are not required to pay commercial tax.
CM Yogi reached the religious places of Ayodhya and Balrampur on Friday, a day before the start of Chaitra Navratri, offered prayers and gave necessary directions. Yogi, who reached Ayodhya for the first time after taking oath as the Chief Minister again, instructed that the Municipal Corporation should not collect commercial tax from monasteries, temples and charitable institutions. Chaitra Navratri is starting from Saturday.
Yogi Adityanath, in his first visit to Ayodhya on Friday after becoming the Chief Minister again in Uttar Pradesh, gave directions to the Municipal Corporation not to collect commercial tax from monasteries, temples and charitable institutions. CM Yogi also reached Balrampur on Friday itself and there he unveiled the statue of Siddha Pir Ratan Nath, a newly built temple in Janakpur, located near the border of neighboring country Nepal. After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated Shri Mukteshwar Nath Mahadev Temple and also offered prayers. Yogi will rest the night at Devi Patan temple on Friday night and will leave for Siddharthnagar on Saturday. After that he will move to Gorakhpur.
According to the sources of Gorakshpeeth, Yogi will fast for 9 days during Chaitra Navratri and will perform special puja for peace, happiness, prosperity and health in the state and nation. On Saturday, along with the worship of Maa Shailputri, Durga Saptashati recitation will begin in the Shakti temple located on the first floor of the Gorakhnath Temple Math. Yogi Adityanath is also the Mahant of the famous Gorakshapeeth of Gorakhpur and during Navratri he stays in Gorakhpur to establish the Kalash.
CM Yogi today offered darshan of Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya and also offered prayers at Hanuman Garhi. He met other saints including Nritya Gopal Das, President of the temple trust, Peethadheeshwar Kaushal Kishore of Bhaktmal and after that reviewed the preparations for celebrating the first Ram Navami after the Bhoomipujan / foundation stone laying of the Ram temple.
In Ayodhya, Yogi Adityanath, in a review meeting with various departments to review the preparations for the Ram Navami fair at the International Ram Katha Museum, directed that the Municipal Corporation should not collect house tax and burning tax at commercial rates from monasteries, temples, dharamshalas and charitable organizations because all these institutions are charitable. And do public service work and take cooperation from them in the form of ‘Token Money’ and if necessary, make a proposal and get approval from the Urban Development Department soon.
CM Yogi said that this is the first Ramnavami fair after Shri Ram Mandir Bhumi Pujan and Kovid, so prepare it with grandeur and make special efforts to bring Ayodhya on the world map. He directed that no official of the administration and very special people should visit Ayodhya on Ashtami and Navami and if they do, then they should be provided with normal arrangements.
According to the official statement, the Chief Minister visited Ayodhya 55 times in his first term (2017-2022). His second innings as Chief Minister has started from March 25, 2022 and he came to Ayodhya for the first time in the second innings on Friday. Welcoming the Chief Minister and public representatives, District Magistrate Nitish Kumar gave a presentation in which information about the work being done was given. Apart from this, other officers including Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Kumar Pandey also apprised the Chief Minister about the information related to the system.
