Lucknow. The Congress is still trying to remain active in the field of politics even after the last phase of voting in the 2022 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh ended on Monday. On International Women’s Day, Congress’s women’s march was taken out in Lucknow under the leadership of party’s national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Some women participating in this women’s march of about three kilometers are also offered scooty and smart phones from Congress.
Women’s wing of Uttar Pradesh Congress along with the national unit organized ‘Ladki Hoon Lad Sakti Hoon’ Women’s March, giving the message of women empowerment on the occasion of International Women’s Day in Lucknow. In this march, to be led by the party’s national general secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, 159 women candidates of Congress contesting for the Legislative Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh participated. Elected women representatives of Congress from all over the country have also been invited to participate in this march along with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Women associated with social service, medicine, education and film world also participated in this march of Congress. He said that this women’s march is also a symbol of giving a message of solidarity and making politics more inclusive and women’s participation in it. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra led this march in Lucknow. The oldest party of the country has decided to take the big campaign of its campaign Ladki Hoon Lad Shakti Hoon beyond the constituency. Congress has decided to take forward this campaign of women empowerment.
Netta D’Souza told that the ‘Girl Hoon Lad Sakti Hoon’ campaign started from the historic land of Uttar Pradesh is a movement for the Congress. The Congress not only talks about the empowerment of women, but also takes them to the ground. ‘Girl Hoon Lad Sakti Hoon’ is not just an election slogan for the Congress, but a movement started to make women socio-economically empowered and capable in the country and the state. Its aim is to mainstream women and their aspirations in Indian politics. Before the assembly elections, the Congress party had promised that the party would give 40 percent tickets to women out of the total candidates. The party fulfilled that promise and in this assembly election, the party gave an opportunity to 159 women candidates to contest the elections.
He said that this women’s march is a symbol of women’s participation in politics along with giving a message of solidarity and making politics more inclusive. Now no power can stop the political revival of women power and it has started from Uttar Pradesh. In this march organized in the state capital Lucknow, along with doctors, sevikas, teachers, women associated with sports and cine world, women office bearers and workers of Congress party participated.
