New Delhi . Pakistan is the main exporter of jihadi terrorism and has sheltered the D-Company along with the Al Qaeda leadership. He also runs a network of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN). Delhi Police said this in its annual press conference on Friday. Referring to the seven neighboring countries – Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Myanmar and Bangladesh – Delhi Police told reporters how India is constantly facing terrorist threats from elements present in these countries.
For Myanmar, the Delhi Police said it has an Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) cell-network active in Rohingya radicalization. China and ISI have also supported rebel groups in the Northeast.
The Delhi Police said that the ISI cell is active in Nepal and it uses porous borders to carry out terror operations as well as FICN within India.
Police said there are active ISI cells and active foreign fighters in the Maldives.
For Afghanistan, Delhi Police said that India is under threat from the Islamic State of Khorasan, Taliban and Haqqani Network (HQN) and also raised concerns about drug smuggling through the route. Delhi Police admitted that India faces a terrorist threat even as ISI infiltrates terrorist operatives using Afghan passports.
For Bangladesh, the police said that it has an active ISI cell, which is also involved in terrorist operations in India besides pushing FICN.
Talking about Sri Lanka, Delhi Police said that India is facing a terrorist threat from the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) group. There is also an active ISI cell, which is involved in drug smuggling along with FICN.
