Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has sought cooperation from all party leaders to organize the budget session of the Legislature in Uttar Pradesh on 18 February, starting with the Governor’s address. In the all-party meeting held on Wednesday, Assembly Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit stressed the need to follow the investigation and rescue measures of Kovid-19 during the session. The all-party meeting was followed by a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee, in which the final session of the Assembly session would be finalized.
An all-party meeting was convened in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday to organize the budget session of the Legislature. At the meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath sought cooperation from all party leaders. The opposition surrounded the government on the issue of running a short term house, assuring cooperation. Opposition leader Ram Gobind Chaudhary, Congress party leader Aradhana Mishra Mona and BSP Legislature Party leader Lalji Verma demanded a detailed discussion on the budget as per rules. He said that under the guise of Corona virus infection, the government is stealing public from the burning issues.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna said that the government is ready to answer every question and curiosity of the opposition. Assembly Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit insisted on following the Kovid investigation and rescue measures. He said that the corona examination of all the assembly personnel has been done. The corona investigation of the legislators is going on. All personnel engaged in security arrangements will also be subjected to corona examination. Arrangements have been made for media personnel to sit in Tilak Hall this time too. Instructions have been given to the members for uninterrupted and convenient arrangement for parking in vehicles, parking of vehicles.
The all-party meeting was followed by a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee under the chairmanship of Legislative Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit, in which the Assembly Session Handling Program would be finalized. The issue of prolonging the budget session as per the rules was raised in the meeting of the Assembly Business Advisory Committee. The opposition has demanded a discussion on the Governor’s address from 23 February instead of 19 February.
