Patna. The Bihar Vigilance Bureau on Sunday raided the house of a director of the Department of Agricultural Land Conservation. A team led by DSP rank officer Satyanarayan Ram raided Ganesh Ram’s house in Magistrate Colony area near Ashiana Nagar here, and Rs 5 lakh in cash, fixed deposit documents, life insurance policy, property and large amount of jewelery Seized.
Satyanarayana Ram said that an FIR has been lodged against Ganesh Ram under the sections of IPC at the Vigilance Police Station.
Satyanarayana Ram said, during the raid, Rama cooperated with us. We have asked them to disclose the source of income.
He said that government officials should disclose their movable and immovable property to their department every year. He did not do so even after registering an FIR against the officer.
