New Delhi. The whole world is witnessing a political war that broke out within Russia for the last few months. In Russia, this war is going on between Alex Navalny, the fierce anti-Putin leader of the Putin government. After the return of Alexi Navalny to the country, the Russian government is angry against the way the Russian government arrested and sentenced him.
Force is also being used to suppress the movement in support of Alexi in Russia. There has also been a churn in the European Union to increase sanctions on Russia before and after this incident. Some countries are supportive of increasing these restrictions on Russia. However, what will be the impact of these demonstrations on the Putin government of Russia, apart from this exercise going on in Western countries. This is a question that is very important to know the answer.
Professor Archana Upadhyay, head of the Center for Russia and Central Asia Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, which monitors Russia’s politics, believes that these performances will not have any impact on Putin’s political future. According to him, such demonstrations against Putin have increased in the last few years. Alexi has also been behind these performances. Despite this, nothing happened to the government there. Talking about the crisis on Putin’s government, there has been no confidence motion against his government, nor will there be presidential elections in the near future.
If we look at the history of Russia, it is known that the public has always accepted a strong national leadership there. This has been seen in the era of Czar to Lenin and Stalin and then later to Mikhail Gorbachov and now Putin. According to Professor Archana, the demonstrations in Russia and the Western countries’ juggling against it is nothing more than a propaganda against Russia.
He also believes that after the poisoning of Alexi, his treatment was started in Russia and he was also allowed by the Russian government to send him to Germany. After this, when Alexi wanted to come back, the Russian government also allowed it. If the Russian government had a hand in the conspiracy to kill her, she probably would not have done so.
