new Delhi. The third phase of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 3.0) will be launched on Friday in 600 districts of all states of the country. This phase, led by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), will focus on new-age and Kovid-related skills.
Skill India Mission PMKVY 3.0 envisages training eight lakh candidates during the plan period 2020-2021 with an outlay of Rs 948.90 crore.
729 Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKK), non-PMKK training centers enlisted under Skill India and more than 200 ITIs will introduce PMKVY 3.0 training to create a strong pool of skilled professionals.
Based on the training received from PMKVY 1.0 and PMKVY 2.0, the Ministry has reformed this new version of the training to conform to the existing policy principle and energize the skills ecosystem affected by the Kovid-19 epidemic.
The Skill India Mission was launched on 15 July 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This mission has gained tremendous momentum with the launch of PMKVY, a flagship scheme with a view to making India the skill capital of the world.
This phase will begin by Dr. Mahendranath Pandey, Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Minister of State Raj Kumar Singh will also be present on the occasion. The event will also be addressed by the Minister of State for Skill Development and Members of Parliament.
