new Delhi. The second match of the ODI series being played between India and Australia is to be played on Sunday 29 November. The host may get a shock before this match. All-rounder Marcus Stoinis, who was injured during the Sydney ODI, is reported to be out of the second match. According to the information, his injury is serious, due to which it is difficult to play his next two matches.
Australia’s all-rounder Marcus Stoinis’s playing in the second ODI against India looks doubtful. According to reports, he has been injured during the first match played in Sydney on Friday. Stoinis also failed to meet his bowling quota during the match. He was seen in pain after throwing his second ball of the 7th over, after which he had to leave the field. Spinner Glenn Maxwell bowled the remaining four balls from Stoinis’ over.
According to Australia’s cricket website, Stoinis complained of pain in the left side of the stomach after which it was decided to have a scan to know its severity. After the match, the commentary panel also informed that his injury is serious and there is doubt about his playing in both the next matches.
All-rounders Cameron Green and Moises Henriques could get a chance if Stoinis misses the second ODI. Both these players are in contention for a place in the playing eleven.
Asked about Stoinis after the match, Steve Smith said, “I don’t know how Stoinis is at the moment.” I have not seen him, but I hope he gets well. If their injury is not cured, some player will definitely get a chance. To replace him, someone has to come in who is a bowler … Maybe Cameron (Green), ‘Green is in good form both in bat and ball during Sheffield Shield.
