Pilibhit. Superintendent of Police (SP) of Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh, Jai Prakash Yadav has recommended the cancellation of arms license of BJP District Vice President Amit Balmiki after a report filed by Srikant Dwivedi, SHO of Pilibhit Police Station. The SP has written a letter to District Magistrate Pulkit Khare asking him to cancel the arms license issued to Balmiki.
The dispute began when Balmiki allegedly attempted to unauthorized occupation of a residential plot.
The SHO said that in a 12-year-old dispute with Dimple Gaur, a woman, on a 200-square-meter plot in Dalchand area, a civil court in Pilibhit ruled in favor of Gaur on 19 February this year.
On 31 August, when Gaur started construction on a plot next to his residence, Balmiki arrived with his 26 henchmen and interrupted the work.
After the police registered a case on both sides under Section 107/116 (3) of the CrPC, Gaur obtained bail by filing a personal bond but Balmiki and his henchmen neither appeared in the court nor sought bail.
SP Yadav said that based on Dwivedi’s report, he recommended the cancellation of the license of Balmiki’s pistol.
When the matter was tried to contact Balmiki, he could not be contacted.
