New Delhi: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will conduct the final examination for the remaining 30 percent marks for all undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students from 5 August. This information has been given in a university statement. The examinations will be conducted online in Viva format. This decision has been taken in a meeting, in which the deans of the faculty, the principals of colleges and polytechnics, and others of the university were involved. During this time it has also been decided that the work of teaching students will also be started for the academic year 2020-21.
The university has said in a statement that AMU has already evaluated 70 per cent marks for the current year undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the final year examinations in other ways.
At the same time, the University Grants Commission (UGC) recently released revised guidelines, in which colleges and universities across the country have been asked to conduct final year examinations by the end of September.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) issued a statement on Thursday, stating that 603 universities “have already conducted the final year examination” or are “planning to conduct.” The UGC said that 209 universities have conducted examinations so far and 394 are planning to conduct the exam by August or September.
