Tourists will not get tickets from the counter at this time, instead buying tickets online. Tourists who are unable to buy tickets online may have to return. Outside the monuments, preparations are being made to ensure sanitization and social distancing, so that tourists can be protected from infection.
Monuments like Humayun’s Tomb, Purana Qila and Qutub Minar are set to open for tourists from Monday. Monuments are being sanitized for the safety of these tourists. Marks have also been made for two yards. Also, pamphlets have also been pasted at various places to make tourists aware. Tourists visiting these places must follow the rules set by the government in full.
Lal Kush Conservation Assistant Luv Kush said, “No ticket counter will be opened for tourists at the memorial sites, whoever comes to visit, will be given the facility to scan code outside the memorial. They can also buy tickets online by visiting our website. If a tourist is unable to do so or for some reason cannot buy tickets online, he may have to return. ”
Although some monuments in Delhi remain closed on Mondays, such memorials will be opened for common citizens and tourists from Tuesday.
A number of rules have been set for tourists, such as social distancing at monument sites. There will also be no permission to take group photos.
