new Delhi. In Bihar and Assam, the central government is alert when the water of the rivers rises above the danger mark. Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the Chief Ministers of both the states on Sunday and assured them of all possible help. He said that the central government is ready to provide all help if needed. The Modi government stands with the people of Bihar and Assam. Shah spoke to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over phone over the issue of the rising water level of the Mahananda River in Bihar. He tweeted, “I spoke to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar about the rising water level of Mahananda River in Bihar and assured him of all possible help from the Central Government for the protection of the people of Bihar.”
In Assam, the Brahmaputra river has also reached the danger mark by increasing water. In view of the state government’s concern, Home Minister Shah spoke to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonwal and Health Minister Hemant Biswa Sharma to get information about the situation. The Home Minister tweeted, “Talked to Assam Chief Minister Sabarnand Sonwal and Hemant Biswa Sharma. Asked them about landslides in Brahmaputra River and Guwahati. Assured all possible help. Modi government stands firm with people of Assam is.”
