Amethi. The groom who fled from the wedding procession committed suicide by jumping in front of a goods train near Bani railway station. As soon as the news of the incident was received, the happiness of the wedding turned into sorrow. The groom has been identified as Ravi Yadav, son of Ram Kishore Yadav, a resident of Suchi in Raebareli. The wedding procession was going to Mau.
Ravi’s wedding procession left from Suchi in Raebareli on Friday evening with great pomp and show. The procession had just reached near Saitha intersection of Gauriganj town. Then the groom got down from the vehicle and fled. For a long time, the family members kept calling him, but the groom kept misleading them by telling them different places.
The groom stood in front of the goods train
It is said that in the meantime, the groom boarded a train going from Pratapgarh to Lucknow and reached Bani railway station and got down. After some time, he stood in front of a goods train going from Pratapgarh to Lucknow, due to which he died on the spot.
The loco pilot informed the station master about the incident, after which the point man Chandan Kumar informed the Gauriganj railway station about the incident. Station master Sanjay gave a memo and informed the Gauriganj police station about the incident. The police took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem and started investigating the incident.
Chaos in the family
After the death of the groom, there is chaos in the entire family. What was the reason for the suicide is not yet known. Ravi’s marriage was fixed with the sister of Anand Yadav, a resident of Navapur village of Ghosi police station area of Mau. Police station in-charge Shyam Narayan Pandey said that the reasons for the suicide are being investigated. No complaint has been received from the family yet.
