There has been a stir due to the information of bomb in Bihar Sampark Kranti coming from Darbhanga to New Delhi. The train has been stopped at Gonda railway station in a hurry. After receiving the information, Gonda Superintendent of Police, 2 ASPs of civil police, 1 CO and Nagar Kotwali police reached the station with dog squad in the train and started searching for the bomb. RPF, GRP personnel are also checking all the bogies of the train.
According to the information, the train has been standing at Gonda station for the last one hour. Most of the passengers are standing at the station after getting down from the train. No objectionable thing has been found in the investigation and checking so far. At present, the police and GRP team are going to each bogie and interrogating people and checking the goods.
Rapid increase in information and threats of bomb
In the last few months, many incidents of threats to blow up trains and stations with bombs have been seen. Recently, on October 30, there was a threat to blow up Hanumangarh Junction railway station of Rajasthan with a bomb. The threat was received a day before. In view of the threat, all the trains passing through the station were checked. Apart from this, the passengers sitting on the platform as well as their luggage were also checked. However, no objectionable thing was found at the station during the checking by the police and GRP.
Stones found on the railway track
The alert loco pilot of the Chennai-bound express train in Tamil Nadu applied the brakes in time after seeing two stones on the train track in Tenkasi district late Thursday night. Srivilliputhur Railway Police said that the incident took place near Kadayanallur. He said that the investigation is underway. He said that the Sengottai-Chennai Pothigai Express was going to Chennai, when the loco pilot saw the stones on the track and stopped the train in time. Later, after the stones were removed, the train left for its destination.
False threat caller arrested from Nagpur
A 35-year-old man, allegedly behind a series of false bomb threats at airports and railway stations across the country, was arrested after he appeared before the Nagpur police. Jagdish Shriyam Uike, a resident of Arjuni Morgaon in Gondia district of eastern Maharashtra, was sent a notice by the city police to appear for investigation. He then flew to Nagpur and surrendered before the police on Thursday evening.
