Chief Fire Officer Pramod Sharma says that oxygen cylinders should be kept away from gasoline, aerosol spray and electrical equipment. There should not be any kind of flammable material where oxygen cylinders are kept. Sometimes accidents also happen due to the nozzle of the cylinder being open or loose.
Pramod Sharma said that nothing can be said for sure about the accident that happened in Secunderabad, but it seems that while attaching the cylinder to the patient, its nozzle must have opened and the pressure directly hit the roof and the house collapsed. The real reason will be known only after investigation.
