Unnao. A case of rape of a girl from Maurawan who was going from Kanpur to her maternal uncle’s house in Jaipur, Rajasthan, in a private bus has come to light. The bus has the registration number of Nagaland state. When the other passengers raised an alarm, they caught hold of the accused bus driver, while the co-driver who was driving the bus escaped.
The girl has lodged a report at Kanota police station in Jaipur City East. His parents have no information regarding the incident. The girl is currently in Jaipur.
This is the whole matter
The maternal uncle of a 19-year-old Scheduled Caste girl, resident of a village in the Maurawan area, lives in Jaipur, Rajasthan. On December 9, the girl reached Kanpur alone from home and from there boarded a bus with Nagaland registration number at seven in the evening and left for Jaipur.
The girl alleges that she was sitting in the cabin of the bus. After the bus started, the driver asked her to lie down on the seat at around 11 pm. On which she lay down on the seat itself.
At around 2 o’clock in the night, the driver handed over the steering to another companion and raped her. Somehow, when he ran out of the cabin and raised an alarm, other passengers caught hold of the accused driver. When the bus reached near Jaipur, the co-driver who was driving it ran away.
Case registered in Jaipur
According to the victim girl, the passengers took her maternal uncle’s mobile number and gave her the information. Uncle informed the police. On this, Jaipur City (East) police has started investigation by registering a report against the accused driver Arif Khan and his co-driver under the section of gang rape and SC ST Act on the complaint of the girl.
Parents are not aware of the incident
A copy of the FIR has been circulated on the internet media, in which the name of the investigating officer is written as Phool Chandra Meena. The parents of the victim girl have denied knowledge of such an incident with their daughter.

SO Maurawan Bhavan Singh Maurya told that he was not aware of the incident, nor had the family members made any such complaint. SP Siddharth Shankar Meena said that till now such a case has not come to his notice. If the police there contacts us, whatever help is needed will be provided.
