Let us tell you that on June 2, 2003, Atiq, a resident of Tevar Khas of Bilari area, lodged an FIR in connection with the shooting death of brother Rafiuddin in the police station. He gave Tahrir and told that on June 2, 2003, he and his elder brother Rafiuddin were sleeping on the terrace of the house. At around 2:30 in the night, Babu Tapar, Raunak, Kasam, Gulzar of the village suddenly came to the terrace by placing a ladder on the wall of the house. The accused came on the terrace and shouted that you people are testifying against us, today we will end the whole story.
After this, the accused shot Rafaiduddin with a pistol. As soon as the bullet rang out, elder brother Matin, his wife Kesar Jahan and neighbor Hussain Baksh, Mattu came. Then the accused ran away from the spot while firing in the air. Rafauddin died on the spot after being shot. In this case, the police had registered an FIR and sent the accused to jail.
ADJ I’s court sentenced three culprits
The hearing of this case was going on in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Arvind Kumar Singh II. Assistant District Government Advocate Braj Raj Singh said that the accused in the case, Babu Tapar, had died a few years ago. At present, three accused have been convicted by the court in this case. Altogether 18 witnesses came to the court and recorded their statements on behalf of the police and the aggrieved side, in which all of them confirmed the incident. Based on the evidence, the court convicted Raunak, his brother Kasam as well as Gulzar and sentenced them to life imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of Rs 30-30 thousand was imposed on each of the culprits.
