According to the police, both the accused are brother-in-law. One of the accused has been identified as Jaswant Tomar. He is a resident of Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. According to the information, the police have also recovered the looted mobile phone of the victim woman from the possession of the accused. After this the arrested accused has been sent to jail. Additional DCP Saad Mian Khan told that on July 22, after working in the victim company, when she was going to her home around 9 pm. She was with her friend in the Green Belt. During this, he beat up the girl’s partner and raped her. Threatened to kill for protesting. After this, they fled after snatching the woman’s mobile and valuables. The victim had lodged a case in the police station after the incident.
Caught on the basis of location as soon as the phone was turned on
According to the police, after the incident of rape and robbery of the woman came to light, the police got involved in the investigation of the case. The police had formed two teams to nab the accused. Apart from this, the police had put the victim’s mobile on surveillance. As soon as the accused switched on the mobile, the police got their location. Accused Jaswant switched on the phone of the victim on 2 January. The teams engaged in the search got information about this. After this, the police arrested the accused by tracking the location.
Police searched 300 CCTV footage around the scene
At the same time, for this matter, verification of more than one thousand workers of 150 factories located in Kotwali area was done. Apart from this, the police engaged around and searched about 300 CCTV footage of Phase-2 area. The ADCP said that it also traced the workers who had left the city. Both the accused were quietly doing their work. These people did not do any kind of panic. In such a situation, he could not be caught.
