All the six accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri Nighasan case have been sent to 14-day judicial custody by the police. Along with this, the investigation has been intensified. DM Mahendra Bahadur Singh said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister’s Office, the matter will be heard in the fast track court so that the victim’s family can get justice soon and the culprits can be punished. Within a month, the hearing of this entire matter will be completed and the court will also give its verdict. With this, a message will be sent to the society that what will be the condition of those who commit such crimes.
It is worth mentioning that two real sisters, resident of a village of Nighasan police station area, were taken away on Wednesday afternoon by three bike-borne youths. They were murdered after taking both the girls to the field and gang-raped them. After this, the accused, along with their two other accomplices, hung the bodies of the teenagers from the tree with their dupatta, so that the incident looked like suicide. Showing readiness, the police had exposed the whole matter along with arresting the six accused involved in this incident on Thursday morning itself.
