Kanpur. On Thursday night, the CBI team along with the force of Swaroop Nagar police station raided the residence of Jalkal General Manager Neeraj Gaur. During this, the CBI closed the main gate of the house. Till late night, CBI kept on interrogating Jalkal General Manager and family members. The team has seized many documents during this period. However, even the top officials of the city were hesitant to say anything about this raid.
The CBI team was searching for Jalkal GM Neeraj Gaur in Lucknow. The three-member CBI team, which came from Lucknow at six o’clock in the evening at Swaroop Nagar police station, demanded the force after introduction, on which ACP Swaroop Nagar Brajnarayan Singh along with Swarup Nagar in-charge sent the force to the residence of Jalkal General Manager Neeraj Gaur. As soon as the team reached home, the police personnel stopped at the gate and deposited everyone’s mobile phones in the guard room built there. After taking possession of everyone’s mobile, the team entered inside with the force. In the main hall of the house, the CBI team started questioning Jalkal General Manager and other family members. The interrogation continued till late night. During this, the team seized many documents from the spot, which they will make evidence.
When the top police officers in the city were asked about why the CBI raided Jalkal GM’s place, everyone kept silent by saying that they did not have information. However, police sources said that during the posting of Jalkal General Manager in the National Highways Authority (NHAI), there was a big scam. The case was registered by the CBI in Delhi. There was no trace of Neeraj since then. On Thursday, after getting instructions from CBI Delhi, the CBI Lucknow team first raided the address located in Lucknow, but the address turned out to be wrong. Later, when CBI contacted Neeraj Gaur’s son through its sources, information was received about his being at Kanpur Jalkal GM residence with his wife. It is not clear what kind of scam happened in NHAI.
