Jaunpur. Four coaches of a goods train derailed on Thursday morning at the eastern end of Badlapur’s Sri Krishna Nagar railway station. According to railway officials, the incident took place at 7:45 am. The empty goods train was going from Lucknow to Varanasi. During this, he had just crossed the Badlapur railway station that due to the breakdown of the track, the goods train overturned breaking all the tracks. The accident was so strong that hearing the sound thousands of people gathered at the spot. Four coaches of the train came down and the rest were completely damaged. During this, the Varanasi-Lucknow rail traffic was completely disrupted. After getting the information, railway officials also reached the spot and started relief work.
According to locals, the goods train had proceeded from Badlapur railway station at 7:45 am when several coaches were completely damaged due to loud noise. Due to the high speed of the train, many coaches got derailed and badly divided into many pieces. It is believed that such an accident happened due to the derailment of the train. However, in this regard, information has been given to clarify the situation only after investigation by the railway officials. After the accident, along with the local people, a team of railway officials also reached the spot and took stock of the damage. According to preliminary information, only the railway track and goods train were damaged. Where other trains have been stopped due to security reasons. The operation of trains has been disrupted due to this. Railway officials are soon mobilizing to restore traffic on the route.
Along with removing the wreckage of the train, along with shoveling the bogies, the exercise to repair the damaged track has also started. Now preparations have started to pass the trains passing through the route through alternate routes so that the movement of other trains is not disrupted much. It is believed that accidents occur due to cracking of rail tracks in winter. In this case also, there is a high probability of the railway track being cracked. However, railway officials have expressed hope that traffic will be restored by noon. At the same time, as relief and rescue work continues on the spot, senior officials have also been informed about it.
22 Wagons of Goods Train Overturned: On Thursday morning, 22 coaches of a goods train were completely damaged by overturning near the eastern signal from Sri Krishnanagar railway station of Zafarabad-Sultanpur rail section. The incident has created panic in the railway department. A crowd of local people gathered on the spot. At 7:45 am, an empty goods train going from Sultanpur to Mughalsarai carrying 53 coaches crossed the railway station Srikrishnanagar and reached 300 meters east of the signal, then suddenly with a loud noise, 22 coaches left the loop line and went to the main line. – Climbed on the other. The impact was so strong that all the instruments, including the wheel, fell far and wide. Railway tracks have also been broken at many places. 15 coaches behind the engine and 17 in front of the guard remained safe. The cause of the incident is said to be a broken track.
