The Congress MP from Wayanad in Kerala said, “The news of the explosion in a stone mining mine in Karnataka is sad.” Condolences to the victims’ families. Such incidents should be investigated in depth so that such tragedies can be avoided in future.
His remarks came after 10 people were killed in a mining blast.
Late Thursday, at least 10 people were killed in a blast at a stone quarry in Shivamoga.
The incident occurred in the village of Abbalagere located along the Shivamoga-Hangal state highway, which passes through Savalunga and Shikaripura.
Shikaripura is located 290 km from Bangalore, and is the Chief Minister of Karnataka, B.S. Yeddyurappa falls under the constituency.
