Senior DCM Kuldeep Tiwari of Lucknow Division Northern Railway said that the station will remain closed for passenger movement till 12 midnight of 14 February. This arrangement has been implemented for crowd management.

The full name of Sangam station is Prayagraj Sangam. When Sangam station was closed on Sunday, a rumour spread that Prayagraj Junction has been closed. However, information kept being broadcast through the announcement machines, due to which the rumour was suppressed in time.
