Rumour spread that Prayagraj Junction was closed
The full name of Sangam station is Prayagraj Sangam. When Sangam station was closed on Sunday, a rumour spread that Prayagraj Junction has been closed. However, information kept being broadcast through the announcement machines, due to which the rumour was suppressed in time.
However, due to increasing crowd pressure at Prayagraj Junction, the entry of passengers was stopped and they were being sent to the platform only under the rules of crowd management. CPRO Shashikant Tripathi appealed that passengers can seek help on railway toll free number 18004199139 for any information. Do not pay attention to any rumour.
