In the cabinet meeting held on Friday under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, it has been decided that the Aqua Line of Metro Rail service will be extended between Noida-Greater Noida. This decision has been taken to make the traffic from Sector 51 Metro Station to Knowledge Park of Greater Noida more smooth.
The proposal regarding the extension of the 17.435 km long Aqua Line Metro project from Sector 51 Noida Station to Knowledge Park of Greater Noida has been approved by the Cabinet. In this, Rs 394 crore will be spent by the Government of India and Rs 394 crore by the State Government. 40 percent of the amount from the State Government will be sanctioned by Noida and 60 percent by Greater Noida Authority.
On the other hand, the Cabinet also approved the provision of free of cost of unused land of the Irrigation Department between Corridor-1 RBS College Metro Station and ISBT College Metro Station of Agra Metro Rail Project for Metro construction.
1035 vehicles will be purchased for ATS, Security Branch and districts
The cabinet approved the proposal to purchase 1035 vehicles for UP ATS, Security Branch and districts. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that a total of 60 vehicles will be purchased by ATS. These include 37 unusable vehicles like bus, Bolero, motorcycle etc.
23 new TVS Apache bikes will also be purchased. The Security Branch will purchase 76 Scorpio N vehicles for VVIP security. Apart from this, a proposal to purchase 899 vehicles of different types for law and order and crime control in the districts has also been approved.
