Once again a case of conspiracy to derail a train has come to light in Kanpur, where a fire extinguisher cylinder was found on the railway track. After seeing it, the loco pilot of Pushpak Express applied brakes and stopped the train some distance ahead. A fire extinguisher cylinder was found lying on the railway track in front of Pushpak Express going from Mumbai to Lucknow on Govindpuri-Bhimsen railway line route at around 4:00 in the morning.
As soon as the loco pilot informed GRP and RPF about the incident, there was a stir. GRP-RPF has taken the fire extinguisher in its possession and started investigation. According to senior railway officials, according to the details on the fire extinguisher cylinder, it belongs to the Carriage and Bagan Department of Railways in Gorakhpur.
They believe that it may have fallen from a train. At present, a conspiracy to derail the Sabarmati train had come to light earlier on this track. The police is engaged in a thorough investigation in the matter. A departmental inquiry has also started regarding this fire extinguisher cylinder of the railway. Despite the information of the cylinder being present on the railway track at 4:00 am, the railway has not yet registered any FIR.
North Central Railway PRO Amit Malviya said that the cylinder found on the track has SSC Carriage & Began written on it in white paint. The loco pilot of Pushpak Express stopped the train after seeing it lying on the track between Bhimsen and Govindpuri station in the morning. It seems that someone has either thrown it out of the train or it has fallen from the train. At present, railway officials have reached the spot for investigation and are conducting a departmental investigation as the departmental code is written on the cylinder.
On the same route, a conspiracy was hatched to derail the Sabarmati Express a few days ago by placing a heavy boulder on the track. Railway officials are still investigating it. A few days after this, a domestic gas cylinder was found near it on the Farrukhabad Road track in Shivrajpur area of Kanpur. The local police, including NIA, ATS and IB, are also investigating it, but they have come up empty handed.
