Bhadaiya (Sultanpur). The accused of daylight robbery at Bharat Jewelers in Sultanpur, UP was killed in an encounter. Dacoit Mangesh Yadav, who had a bounty of Rs 1 lakh on his head, was killed in an encounter with the team of STF Deputy SP Dharmesh Shahi.
The encounter took place in Misirpur Puraina Manikapur Parasin area of Kotwali Dehat in Sultanpur. Mangesh Yadav was injured in the encounter, he was sent to CHC Bhadaiyan for treatment. Mangesh Yadav died during treatment. A 32 bore pistol, cartridges, a 315 bore pistol, a bike and looted jewellery were recovered from the spot.
Many cases were registered against Mangesh
Mangesh, originally from Jaunpur, already had many cases registered against him. Mangesh Yadav was also involved in the daylight robbery at Bharat Jewelers in Sultanpur on August 28.
This was the case
On August 28, a jeweler’s shop in Thatheri Bazaar of Kotwali Nagar was robbed in broad daylight. Jewellery worth Rs. 1.35 crore and cash worth Rs. 3 lakh was looted. In this case, three robbers were arrested by the police in an encounter on Tuesday morning, while on Wednesday evening, ADG Zone announced a reward of Rs. 1 lakh each on 10 accused.
