Producer Jackie Bhagnani seems to be in trouble. Actually, Jackie Bhagnani’s production house Pooja Entertainment is being accused of not paying the crew members. Reports have also revealed that Jackie Bhagnani has not paid the actors as well. Some users on social media have given details of the injustice done to them.
Jackie Bhagnani runs a production house named Pooja Entertainment with his father Vashu Bhagnani. Crew member Ruchita Kamble has shared screenshots of some other people’s Instagram stories on her Instagram. It has been claimed in these that she was not paid after working in Jackie Bhagnani’s production house.
100 crew members did not get fees!
The first screenshot is of a user named Vaishnavi Parlikar, who has written- ‘I did a film with a very popular production house 2 years ago. I was waiting for our two months’ payment with at least 100 crew members. Whereas the actors were paid immediately and no makeup artist has an answer to our question.’
‘They have a lot of money to spend on themselves’
The second screenshot is of a user named picharesqueframes. Who writes- ‘Producers travel in business class almost every month. They go on vacations, live life freely, buy cars, gift luxuries, make money by making and releasing films. But after not paying for years, when it comes to paying the crew, they say that there is a shortage of funds. But they have a lot of money to spend on themselves. This is very wrong.’
Crew member wrote a post
Ruchika Kamble has shared these screenshots and appealed to people not to work with Pooja Entertainment. She has written- ‘I am not one of those who post such things, but sometimes there is a need to tell the reality of people! Seeing my team and crew struggling day and night to get their hard earned money compelled me to post this.’
‘Being duped from one person to another…’
Ruchika further wrote- ‘Read the sheer desperation of these young girls who have beautifully narrated the sheer unprofessional, unethical behaviour of Pooja Entertainment which we all have been tolerating for too long. Being duped from one person to another just to ask for their money which was promised to be cleared in 45-60 work days after completion, which in itself is unprofessional.’
Allegation of exploitation on production house
The user further said- ‘The crew graciously agreed because we were a group inspired by the passion of film making. But this passion being exploited to this extent should not be accepted. There is no hope of getting the payment, but this post is to make countless other people aware of this fraudulent strategy of Pooja Entertainment, Jacky Bhagnani and Vasu Bhagnani and to vow not to work with them.’
Actors were also not paid fees!
Hindustan Times, while investigating this matter, has claimed in the report that the allegations being made on Pooja Entertainment in these posts are true. The report says that along with the crew, the star cast of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Sonakshi Sinha, Alaya F and Prithviraj Sukumaran have also not been paid. Claiming lack of funds, the actors were also told that they would be paid after the completion of the film.
Tiger Shroff said this
It is written in the report that Tiger Shroff said about not getting the fees for ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ – ‘I have nothing to say at the moment.’ Ronit Roy also replied, ‘I have nothing to say.’
